Wrinkles are nature’s way of saying that you getting older and you need to take care of yourself fast before it is too late.
Genetics has some say about this but mainly it is the way in which you been living and the results are slowly kicking in. We all are wrinkle bound, but we can always put if off for another day by practicing preventive measures.
Even if we already have wrinkles, they can be reduced - most especially if your age says that you are not supposed to have any or few wrinkles yet.
1. Smoking causes wrinkles because it steals natural oils from your face and the constant practice of sucking smoke in, creates wrinkles in the mouth area. Besides the worries of wrinkles, smoking has been proven to be linked with cancer, so the wrinkles are just one more reason to avoid smoking.
2. Drink lots and lots of water to keep you hydrated. The body is 3/4 water and you lose water daily so make sure to drink up. 6-8 glasses of water is the recommended dietary requirement to prevent wrinkles and help to maintain the body's elasticity.
3. Eat a balanced diet, but one that is based more on fruits and vegetables because they provide your body with the essential vitamins and minerals needed to keep your body healthy. This includes elements that can counteract the unavoidable toxins that you ingest in your daily life. You can even take a vitamin supplement to make sure that this is taken care of.
4. Relax and stop worrying too much about anything and everything. Try meditating to calm the nerves and free the mind or physical exercises will do the trick as well, for it relaxes you by knowing that you are doing something to make yourself look better.
5. Proper caring for the skin will not promote wrinkles but using the wrong skin products will. Using the wrong kind of skin products will strip your face of the natural oils that keeps it supple and smooth. They can make your face red, itchy and a lot of times dry. Try to read the labels and make sure you recognize the ingredients and understand that they should contain natural ingredients rather than chemicals.
6. Get plenty of sleep to let your body’s natural healing process do its job. When you sleep for 8 hours, this is when the body starts to repair damaged tissues and cells thereby preventing more wrinkles form occurring because repairs are done on a cellular level. Lack of sleep makes the body confused and instead of your systems functioning the way that they supposed to do, like repair the damaged body cells, a different function occurs.
Some people may say that having wrinkles is very natural and should simply be accepted as part of growing older – but as far as I’m concerned, wrinkles are one thing should be put off for as long as possible.
