It is said that the number one concern for most people is health. However, in the past decades, we’ve seen a steady increase in obesity. And the two obvious reasons for this is our sedentary lifestyles and the kind and quantity of the food that we eat.
Our bodies are meant to be used. But we spend most of our time in front of the computer or the TV. We know that eating fruits and vegetables is good for us but pizza and donuts are so delicious. Unfortunately, most of us won’t consider living a healthy lifestyle unless we start seeing serious consequences to our bad habits.
Sugars and Sugar Substitutes
We all want quick solutions. We want to eat our cake and have it too. We want to be able to enjoy drinking liters of soda without the calories. Wish granted.
However, it turned out that sugar substitutes aren’t actually good for weight loss. Our bodies know that whenever we take in anything sweet, they have to be prepared for a lot of sugar. And when we don’t get the sugar, our bodies naturally crave for it. Our glucose response goes haywire. Diabetes soon sets in and we realize that we have to watch what we eat and exercise if we want to live longer.
You don’t have to wait for disease to set in before you start living a healthy lifestyle. Start now.
