Lots of interesting things are covered today, health for eyes, health for skin, weight control.

There are ways you can improve outcomes in all of these areas through focused attention and I trust you will find useful information below.
Before we get into details, I want to step back just a little and review long-term health concepts.

One core principle is that your body is very smart, and very good at keeping you in good health.
Cut your finger in the kitchen and the bleeding will stop in a short time.
In just a few weeks the cut will heal.
Break a bone and, if it is set properly, your body will knit it back together again.

Long term health is best underpinned by giving your body what it needs to heal itself, and to keep itself healthy.

This is why I have been using the core Herbal.life nutrition products for over 30 years.

I have never spent too much time wondering about that.

While clearly the best route to eye health includes a diet rich in a wide variety of colored fruits and vegetables, supplementation has its place, especially if the diet is not optimal, which is the usual case, is it not?

A broad spectrum mega-multivitamin mineral phytonutrient supplement.

It should have at least 1000 mg of Vit C and 100 IU Vit E, 100 mg Bioflavonoids, 25 mg quercetin, 15000 Vit A as mixed carotinoids (not just beta-carotene), 200 mg selenium, 15 mg of zinc and 1 mg of manganese, the minerals being amino acid chelates.

Healthy Smoothie Recipes Perfect to use with our convenient protein powder supplement to optimize your health!

COFFEE SMOOTHIE
3 to 4 tablespoons instant coffee powder
1 cup milk (nonfat okay)
1 cup vanilla frozen yogurt
1 cup frozen bananas
Pour liquid ingredients into the blender first. Yogurt is a liquid ingredient.
Add bananas. Put cover on and blend until smooth.

CUCUMBER MINT SMOOTHIE
1 cucumber, peeled, seeded and chopped
3 tablespoons mint leaves & mint sprigs ‐‐ finely chopped
1 1/2 cups apple juice or still cider
1 cup lemon sorbet
1 cup ice cubes
Place the cucumber, mint, apple juice or cider, sorbet and ice in a blender, and blend until smooth. Garnish with mint, and serve.

Natural Beauty Recipe

Herbal Face Scrub
This recipe is very mild and gentle on your skin and an excellent face scrub to make and use for beginners.

Herbal infusion (use dried chamomile, elderflowers or fennel for normal skin types);
2 tablespoons fine oatmeal

1. Mix 3 tablespoons of the herbal infusion (your choice of herb, hot water, left to "infuse" for approximately 20 to 30 minutes then strain, keeping the infused liquid) with the oatmeal to make a paste.
Let stand, allowing the oatmeal to soften, about 5 minutes.
2. Gently massage the mixture into your face for five minutes.
3. Rinse well with tepid water. Pat dry, tone, and moisturize.

Honey Mask:
This mask effectively moisturizes and tightens the skin, making it smooth and soft.
Ingredients:
1½ tbsp. honey
1 egg white
2 tsp. glycerin
1/3 cup flour
Directions:
Whisk the honey, egg white and glycerin, and then add the flour.

The result should be a thick paste. Apply to face and rinse after 15 minutes.

6. Try prayer or meditation. These activities can help lower stress and reduce anxiety.

7. Cuddle up. Cuddling and other physical intimacies can help reduce stress and lower cortisol.

Moisturize Your Skin

A daily moisturizer and lotion can help keep skin healthy and hydrated. A moisturizer can help reduce the risk of developing skin issues and may help slow the aging process.

You can try different moisturizers that best suit your age or skin type. You can also ask a dermatologist to recommend a good moisturizer to suit you.

Be Gentle With Your Skin (And Skin Routine)

Treating your skin gently is another way to keep it healthy. This means avoiding harsh creams or soaps, keeping the shower temperature warm instead of hot, and patting yourself dry with a towel instead of rubbing off the water.

What is EMDR - Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing - Psychotherapy Treatment?

Its purpose is one that’s intended to relieve stress and other negative feelings that can be caused by traumatic memories.

This can be living through a traumatic event yourself or witnessing it happen to someone else.

There are three different parts to the EMDR therapy that can be a help to people.

The first part is dealing with the events and memories that are responsible for the emotional problems you’ve been experiencing.

In this first part of dealing with the events, you’ll learn how to create new links that you can associate with the events and memories.

EMDR therapy works in that it can have you feeling safe and in control in your environment rather than afraid and feeling like the world is not a safe place for you to be in.

The second part that can help people who use EMDR techniques is targeting the present situations that might provoke your distress.

During the sessions, while you’re going through the phases, you’ll be doing work designed to desensitize any external and internal triggers you may have.

Many people have certain triggers that will cause them to feel as powerless and scared as they were at the time the actual event took place.

The person can feel like he or she is actual back in the event or seeing it again.

EMDR can help you overcome the emotions and issues that are connected with that. The third part involves using imagery.

What Problems Can Be Helped by EMDR?

There are several problems and symptoms that can be handled by using the teachings of EMDR.

Extremely traumatic events such as sexual and physical abuse can be successfully treated.

Rape victims can find relief from the traumatic memories through the techniques offered. Child traumas can also be treated by using EMDR.

Experiencing the death of a loved one can be difficult.

Not everyone grieves in the same manner.

Losing someone that you care about can be a traumatic event that can cause people to become stuck.

Losing Weight After 50

As you get older, you may notice that it is increasingly difficult to lose weight.

This is especially true after you pass the milestone 50th birthday.

Don’t fret though, as there are many tips you can use to help you to effectively lose weight after you turn 50.

Why Is It So Hard To Lose Weight After 50?

You may be wondering why turning 50 is so hard on your body. And honestly, a lot of it has to do with your lifestyle slowing down. Chances are you are no longer as active as you were before, spending more time sedentary than in your previous decades.

And according to Healthline, 50 is also when you experience metabolic changes that also contribute to having less energy and weight gain.

Your social life is also probably slowing down at this time as well. If you have kids, they no longer need the constant chasing they needed when they were young, and your friends are probably no longer inviting you for jogs in the park.

You are also more comfortable and established at your job, no longer working a side hustle to make ends meet. All of this adds up to a life that is generally much less active overall.

How Do You Remedy This?

Although you are probably receiving less invitations to do active things with friends, this doesn’t mean that you can’t invite them to do something active with you!

Next time you find yourself with a free afternoon, invite a friend for a walk around the park. This way you will be doing something active that is good for your body while also being social.

And if you haven’t already, it’s probably time to switch out your diet for something a little bit healthier. Back in the day, it was easy to work off any excess calories you may have consumed.

But now it takes more exercise than ever to burn off extra calories, so it’s better to just stick to a healthy diet. If your life is especially sedentary, it may be time to cut back on your portion sizes as well.

Shift From Cardio To Strength Training

Besides just eating right and trying to stay active, as you grow older it’s also critical that you swap your exercises from cardio based to more strength training.

This is because your muscles and bones are more likely to be injured now than ever before, and with proper strength training you can prepare your body properly for exercise and mitigate injuries.

This doesn’t mean you have to stop all cardio however, and if you are an avid athlete like a runner or biker—keep on doing what you are doing!

But be aware that you need to schedule ample time for strength training in order to retain your muscle strength, as this decreases after 50 even with a cardio routine.

In one article on Healthline, it is mentioned that strength training also helps to boost your metabolism, which will help you to have more energy. And when you have more energy for your workout, this will keep you on track for your weight loss goals. Just make sure you develop a regular workout routine and stick to it.

Losing weight after 50 can be a challenge. This is because once you hit the milestone birthday, your metabolism starts to slow and your life becomes more sedentary.

Combat this by keeping yourself social, eating a healthy diet, and active, while shifting your focus towards strength training.

This way you will be able to work out in a way that is beneficial for your body and lose weight as you enter a new phase of your life.
